You ask, we lie : We Are Scientists
In an interview in Metro, WAS claims that the advice column is written by Jonathan Safran Foer. Or was that a joke?
There’s just so much in this world to take in. Hard to control what you take in. There’s just so much.

Went to see Grupo Corpo tonight. It was nice. A clip on YouTube (in Portuguese).

I was told today. Well, when I retire, I’d (at least try) to stay away from computers. Them evil machines.

Surely, Mr. Coetzee. From his latest book, Diary of a Bad Year, of which I’m currently following the “bottom” two voices (as each page is split into three parts), of an old man and a woman he lusts after.

But it sure makes a good picture. Especially if you’re an old man.

Maybe knowing when we’d die is a blessing. Then we’d drop all this none-sense responsibility thing and do the things we really want to do. But we don’t know when we’ll die, so we just push things off till later. If I have just 6 months left, I would have a long list of things to do, and none of them would involve me with a computer.

Legs. Colors. Yum.

Lesson of the day - never gonna please everyone, so let’s just please ourselves.

It was painting day, and here’s a quick portrait of the most famous physician of our time.
So I draw the other person of the story, carried on from yesterday. I didn’t take much pleasure drawing Dupre’s face. Well. The other drawing is based on an illustration on some old Dutch maps (Toonneel des Aerdrycks). Found via the amazing blog, BibliOdyssey.

We’re fascinated with David Paterson, our new governor. The man cannot see with his left eye, and has severely limited vision in his right. And he’s our governor. But instead of talking about how a man overcame his handicap to become the highest official in the state, the media seems more interested in the size of Ms. Dupre’s breasts.
Based on a photo by Mr. Newman, who once told me (and I’m sure to a lot of people) a story about Pollock offering him one of his just finished painting for a couple thousand dollars. Newman was just getting married at the time and needed the money, and lost his opportunity to acquire a Pollock drip painting. Oh well.
I’m trying to loosen up here. Tried too hard to be accurate, and I kept on putting on shades and darkening some lines. It looked better when it was about 80% done.

A major update to Harvest.

Blurry picture of the final painting.
